‘When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?’

Ballet Theatre UK recreate the romantic world of Jane Austen with their classical adaptation of Sense & Sensibility.
Following the lives of the Dashwood sisters, this full-length ballet explores the romantic twists and turns of society life in the late 18th century: one is charmed by the tender nature of a true gentleman, the other is swept off her feet by a dashing and mysterious man. Torn between following their hearts or heads, the girls experience love and heartbreak as they seek to find their place in society.

Set to a glorious, authentic score, this ballet combines the essence of a true period drama with heart-wrenching pas de deux and stunning classical ballet. Inspired by artists of the era, including Gainsborough and Turner, the production features spellbinding costumes and set and promises to be another ballet highlight.

“A ballet company of great achievement” The Dancing Times | “Glittering costumes, expressive dancers… a pleasure to witness a production of this calibre” Dance Europe
