As you will no doubt be aware, today would have seen the Coventry Festival of Running taking to the streets of the city. Due to unprecedented circumstances and COVID 19, this event was unable to go ahead and we had to reschedule it. The government advised event organisers to be mindful how their events could be a burden on public services. As a true community event this is not what we want.
This does not mean a holiday for the team at FoR Coventry. Last week we announce the proposed rescheduled date of Sunday 1st November. Due to significant demand from runners, we can now re-open for new registrations for FoR Coventry (Half Marathon, 5k and 2.5k Wheelchair).
If you originally booked for the original date you don’t need to do anything, your place has been automatically transferred. If you didnt register yet, why not book your place for your preferred event now - www.enjoycoventry.com/festivalofrunning. If you were unsure of your fitness levels, you now have loads of time wqith 30 weeks to train and prepare for either the 5k or the legendary Coventry Half Marathon.
As this is still a proposed new date, some things are out of our control, so please be aware it may be subject to change should there be a new directive from the government. All terms and conditions are listed on our website: https://www.enjoycoventry.com/festivalofrunning/
All at FoR are working to this date and looking forward to bringing the event to you on 1st November. We obviously encourage all FoR Friends and family to stay within government guidance in relation to social distancing but encourange you to make use of your 1 hour outdoor exercise.
