Documenting the News Makers – Oral History and the Coventry Telegraph

Drop in | Free

This event will shed light on the history of the Coventry Telegraph and Coventry Standard newspapers and in particular the people who actually worked to bring the news to the city. A project led by Coventry University has created a series of recorded oral history interviews with former employees working across editorial and production departments from the 1950s to the 1980s, which will be available via the Coventry Archives. This free event will include information about the newspapers and how they might be useful for research. It will include a talk by project leaders Dr Rachel Matthews, Associate Professor in Journalism and Dr Darren Reid, Assistant Professor in History.
