Kenilworth Runners are a Road and Cross Country Running Club with over 300 members based at the Wardens Club in Glasshouse Lane, Kenilworth, CV8 2AL. The club was formed in 1986 and competes in the Warwickshire Road Race League (male and female team winners in 2017), Division 1 of the Birmingham League XC and Division 1 of the Midlands Women’s League XC.
An increasing number of our members are also getting involved in Off-Road and Ultra running, so whatever your genre, we have it covered. We are proud to offer a supportive, yet competitive environment in which to enjoy your running so runners of all abilities feel valued by the club, whether you want to enter races or just run for enjoyment. See our website for more details www.kenilworthrunners.co.uk.
We have coached led training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the Wardens and track training at Leamington track on Wednesdays. On Sundays it’s a long 10 mile run from the Wardens. We also have a keen youth section that meets on Mondays at Abbey Fields.
We organise two running events each year; the Mayday 10k around Abbey Fields (Mayday-10k.co.uk) and the Kenilworth Half Marathon on 2nd September 2018 starting and finishing in the town centre and running through the grounds of the historic Kenilworth Castle - www.kenilworthhalfmarathon.co.uk.
